Types Of Dentures

Conventional Full Denture

A conventional denture is used, after all the remaining teeth are removed and the tissues have healed. The process of healing takes, about a few months, during this time, you will be without teeth.

Immediate Full Denture

After all the teeth are removed , then an immediate full denture is inserted. The dentist takes measurements, and makes models of your jaw during your prior visit. The advantage of an immediate denture does, give the benefit of never having to be without your teeth, after the dentures are inserted it needs to be reline for several months. The bone, structure which supports your teeth helps reshape the teeth as it heals, and this makes the denture loose.

Partial Denture

The partial denture rests, on a metal framework, that attaches the natural teeth, in rare cases crowns are placed on some of your natural teeth, and helps as anchors for the denture. Partial dentures also offer a removable alternative to bridges.
